In May 2011 Elmham Surgery launched a new Social Enterprise Care Agency.
The Surgery serves 39 villages, hamlets and isolated communities. Rural access difficulties mean there is little public transport, poor communication links and facilities. Access to carers in these villages is a significant problem. Many patients could be cared for by the Surgery with the help of district nurses and community teams, but carers were not available locally. So the Directors at the Surgery launched Breckland Care at Home.
Breckland Care at Home is a Community Interest
Company; as such any funds generated by the company will be reinvested into the services it provides, it’s employees and community projects.
Breckland Care at Home has established a good reputation locally for its willingness to make extra efforts to help the local community.
In April 2017, Breckland Care at Home became part of the Independence Matters Group.
Breckland Care at Home continues to provide a full range of services and is happy to tailor a home care package to meet individual needs. We take great care in serving the needs of our adult clients within the local community.
There are limited facilities and services in much of rural Norfolk for many individuals, families and communities. In the future Breckland Care at Home will be consulting with local communities to highlight community projects that could be established or supported in the areas that we serve. We hope to tackle issues that affect our service users and local residents.
Below is a map which indicates the area we currently cover, a 12-14 mile radius of North Elmham. However we are constantly expanding so if you live outside the area please do contact us as we may be able to accomodate you.
